The Author
tories have always been a part of who I am. Long before I ever put words to a page, I was the kind of person who stayed up too late, reading by flashlight, convinced that the dark held something worth knowing. I still believe that.
I write dark fantasy, gothic romance, and horror — woven with ancient prophecies, forbidden love, immortal secrets, and the shadows that linger just beyond the edge of the firelight. My stories are not comfortable. They are not meant to be. They are meant to pull you in, haunt you afterwards, and stay with you long after the last page.
The Crimson Chronicles is the series I have been building toward my entire life. Six books. One world. A story that begins in early July 2026 — and does not end quietly.
The dead do not haunt the living out of malice. They haunt us because they have not yet finished what they started.— Mareth Corven
The Writing Life
I write late at night, when the house is quiet and the world outside has gone dark. There is something about that hour — the way silence has weight, the way shadows move differently — that makes the stories feel more real. More honest.
My influences are the classics of gothic literature — Poe, Le Fanu, Radcliffe — but also the modern writers who proved that dark stories could be tender, that horror and romance are not opposites but two sides of the same obsession.
Every book I write begins with a question I cannot stop asking. For The Crimson Chronicles, that question was: what does it cost to love something immortal?
Reader Questions
Dark fantasy, gothic romance, and horror — often all three at once. I am drawn to stories that live in the space between the beautiful and the terrible, where love and danger are inseparable.

Six books in total. The series is fully planned from beginning to end — each book builds on the last, and the final chapter closes every thread. I will not leave you hanging.
Yes. The Crimson Chronicles is a continuous story with a single arc across all six books. Start with Book One and the rest will follow.
